Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Control Systems Specialist to join our team at UK Networks Services. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building electrical control systems in-house by our expert team of engineers.

About the Role

This Electrical Control Systems Specialist position involves working as part of a small team to build electrical panels and equipment from detailed engineering drawings. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical panel building or installation work as a qualified electrician.

  • Building electrical panels from engineering drawings
  • Installation of electrical panels on customer premises
  • Testing, fault-finding, and process control
  • Reading engineering drawings
  • Identifying improvements

The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical principles and be skilled in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical faults. A valid electrician certification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2360, 2382, 2391) or HNC/HND/ONC in Electrical Engineering is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to the above tasks, the successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Work effectively as part of a small team to achieve project goals
  • Communicate complex technical information to colleagues and clients
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency
