Project Overview:

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Assistant Project Manager to join Cavendish Nuclear, part of Babcock International Group. The role involves delivering key project management functions in support of overall project delivery, requiring strong experience in project lifecycle management and various contracting methodologies.

About the Job:

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of project management techniques, including schedule, financial, and risk management. You'll also need excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain accurate financial and schedule estimates.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Manage planning, monitor and control of work packages being delivered by other internal and external resources.
  2. Apply the Business Management System (BMS) appropriately for the project and produce and communicate project-reporting data on Project Controls and Finance systems.
  3. Undertake all aspects of stakeholder management and communications activities required and support development of stakeholder management plans.
  4. Work closely with Project Managers to ensure successful project delivery.

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a similar environment/sector.
  • Awareness of various contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC/NEC3/JCT etc...).
  • Application of core project management techniques.
  • Awareness of Engineering principles and common project challenges.
