We are seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our team and support various clients delivering complex programmes and portfolios of projects.

Amentum provides end-to-end programme and project services, particularly design, manufacturing, construction, within the Government and Highly Regulated sectors.

The Programme Manager will require an individual with a broad skill set, capable of adapting their leadership style and delivery approaches to suit the environment and client needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer interfaces, build teams, relationships, and stakeholder confidence.
  • Take responsibility for performance, profit, and loss, and commercial arrangements as necessary.
  • Establish and oversee complex programmes supporting clients in the nuclear industry.
  • Develop governance structures integrating with existing frameworks, optimising decision-making across the programme and integrated projects.
  • Apply best practice in managing complex programmes in a bespoke environment.
  • Understand and execute projects and Project Execution Planning.
  • Develop programme blueprints, tranche structures, mapping, and measures for realising benefits.
  • As necessary, lead and set up Programme Management Offices, programme reporting, baseline development, and integration of project reports.
  • Manage programme risks and opportunities.
  • Produce Green Book five case business cases.

Requirements:

  • Ideal Degree Qualified or HND in an engineering discipline.
  • Project Management Qualification Prince2, APMP, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in Programme Management of Nuclear projects.
  • Proven experience in overseeing complex projects and programmes.
  • Commercial awareness with a focus on delivery and value for money.
  • Excellent analytical and organisational skills.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing work environment and previous experience of managing high-value programmes.
  • Knowledge of UK Government regulated site activities.

We offer competitive salaries ranging from £60,000 to £90,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits.
