Job Description
As an Early Careers Development Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on our future talent. Are you enthusiastic about cultivating the next generation of talent? Do you excel in recruiting and developing future stars, particularly apprentices? You will be instrumental in shaping our talent pipeline and elevating our early careers initiatives. The Together Academy serves as the heart of early career talent at Together, and we are seeking a proactive and inspiring individual to help us further strengthen and enrich our Academy community.
As an Early Careers Development Specialist, we are looking for someone to:
- Scout Talent: Help recruit apprentices and early career candidates through careers events, social media, and partnerships with educational institutions
- Build Bridges: Foster strong relationships with schools, colleges, and universities to create a robust talent pipeline
- Get Creative: Work with our marketing team to produce engaging content showcasing early career opportunities
- Streamline Recruitment: Facilitate top-notch recruitment processes for our apprenticeship programme
- Enhance Experiences: Ensure candidates have a positive journey from application to onboarding
- Design Programmes: Create a work experience programme tailored to meet our business needs
- Stay Ahead: Keep abreast of industry trends to drive innovative initiatives enhancing our brand presence
- Craft Learning Journeys: Support the development of learning programmes for apprentices and work experience programme participants
- Kick-off Success: Facilitate orientation sessions and ongoing training to help early career hires thrive
- Coach and Inspire: Conduct one-on-one coaching and group workshops to promote professional growth and identify suitable mentors across the business as and when required
- Monitor Impact: Evaluate the effectiveness of our apprenticeship and work experience programmes, using feedback for continuous improvement
- Insight Generation: Produce insightful reports on early careers activities to track trends and market challenges
Qualifications
Essential
- Experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of the early careers landscape, apprenticeship frameworks, and work experience initiatives
- Strong planning, organisation, and communication skills to engage diverse groups
- Excellent stakeholder management abilities
- A collaborative spirit and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- A growth mindset and a passion for developing talent
