Optometrist (Permanent, Part-Time) - Glaucoma Service

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated optometrist to join our Glaucoma Service team at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. As an organisation, we value a healthy work-life balance and are committed to accommodating flexible working arrangements to support our staff.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to professional and personal development, with a passion for complex clinical work and service innovation. They will be able to provide high-quality supervision and teaching, as well as actively contribute to audit and clinical governance.
Main Duties- Provide patient-facing glaucoma clinics for routine and complex case mixes, new patient clinics, virtual clinic review, and selective laser trabeculoplasty.
- Work autonomously and under supervision, with a high level of clinical experience and qualifications in glaucoma.
- Contribute to team development and clinical service delivery, through high-quality supervision and teaching, as well as active input into audit and clinical governance.
- Registration with the General Optical Council.
- BSc Hons Optometry or equivalent.
- Professional post-graduate specialist qualification(s) at masters level or higher, relevant to job plan.
- Postgraduate masters (or higher) level clinical audit or research experience relevant to sub-specialist practice.
