Advanced Practitioner in Learning Disabilities

We are recruiting on behalf of Luton Borough Council, who are committed to promoting the independence, inclusion, and well-being of all adults with learning disabilities.
About the RoleThis is a highly rewarding opportunity within a Community Learning Disability and Autism Team. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will provide professional support, leadership, and line management to the team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership on risk and safeguarding and professional social work matters.
- Promote personalized care pathways ensuring choice and control for all eligible individuals.
- Influence and shape the local environment to promote social inclusion and accessibility.
- Ensure compliance with Luton Council and Safeguarding Adults Boards policies and procedures.
- Supervise, support, and mentor staff within the multi-disciplinary team, including Community Learning Disability Nurses, Social Workers, and Social Care Assessors.
- Carry a small caseload of complex cases requiring a high level of professional skill.
- Develop and implement strengths-based approach projects, including personal technology and asset-based community development.
