AECOM is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineer to lead, develop and expand our Specialist Hydraulics team and contribute to our exciting portfolio of multimillion-pound UK Water Industry projects.

About the Role

This role represents a great opportunity to lead professionals, leveraging their collective expertise to deliver innovative solutions on a diverse range of projects that meet the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Working collaboratively with various other design discipline engineers on projects and be a decision maker, driving projects forward and leading critical decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing design reports that detail the calculations/analysis performed and their key findings.
  • Estimating and budgeting man-hours for design tasks.
  • Validating all deliverables, including calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications, taking the role of a Lead Verifier in accordance with our Quality Assurance (QA) system.

Our thriving Water Engineering business in England & Wales is seeking a skilled Hydraulic Engineer to lead, develop and expand our Specialist Hydraulics team and contribute to our exciting portfolio of multimillion-pound UK Water Industry projects.

Our team is responsible for conducting hydraulic analysis and designing water/wastewater treatment plants and pipelines for a diverse range of clients.

This role offers exceptional opportunities for career progression and development.

Proven experience in hydraulic design within the UK Water Industry.

Comprehensive knowledge of hydraulic design principles and experience collaborating with other disciplines, such as Process, Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical.

Hydraulic design for water and wastewater treatment works typically using HADES but also bespoke analysis and calculation where necessary.

Transient analysis and design of surge suppression systems.
