As a Medical Affairs Professional, you will play a critical role in the pharmaceutical industry, contributing to the development of medical plans and activities. This is a unique opportunity to work with a global biotechnology company that invests in scientific innovation.

About the Role

You will be responsible for supporting the planning and process aspects of Vertex sponsored medical education events, advisory boards, medical reporting, and regional internal medical meetings. Your duties will include tracking and managing all aspects of activities within your assigned remit.

In collaboration with Country and International Medical leads, you will contribute to the timely implementation of International or Country Medical plans. You will also build and manage collaborative relationships with internal cross-functional teams such as Commercial, Regulatory, Market Access, HEOR, Corporate Communications, Clinical Development, and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of medical plans and activities
  • Support the planning and process aspects of Vertex sponsored medical education events, advisory boards, medical reporting, and regional internal medical meetings
  • Build and manage collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Communicate externally with healthcare professionals (HCPs)/healthcare organisations (HCOs) as per business needs
  • Evaluate the accuracy, robustness, and appropriateness of medical/scientific exchange both internally and externally whilst adhering to applicable legislation, in particular: privacy/GDPR, Code of Conduct, and reporting payments to HCPs (Global Spend Transparency)
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A MD/MBBS degree, or equivalent experience
  • Candidates should be either enrolled in a recognised specialty training programme and 1-2 years before completion (UK - CCT) utilising their Out Of Programme (OOPC) year or physicians who have completed their specialty training and are interested in 1 year work placement in industry at our International HQ in Paddington, London
  • We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with expertise and background in one of the following specialties: Nephrology, Haematology, Endocrinology/Diabetology, Neurology and Pain Management
What We Offer

This Hybrid-Eligible role offers the flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week or on-site five days per week with ad hoc flexibility. As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of $120,000 per annum, plus benefits.
