Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Prism Independent School in Bradford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a positive impact on the lives of students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
About the Role:
- The successful candidate will provide support to teachers in planning, delivering, and evaluating learning activities tailored to students' individual needs.
- They will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, therapists, and other professionals to support students' holistic development.
- The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the teacher in planning, delivering, and evaluating learning activities tailored to students' individual needs.
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them engage with the curriculum and manage challenges.
- Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviours.
- Monitor and record progress, provide feedback to the teacher, and contribute to the evaluation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Location: Prism Independent School, Bradford.
