About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated KS2 Teacher to join our vibrant and fun primary school in Oxford. As a KS2 Teacher, you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses.
  • Develop maths ability and introduce fractions, statistics, and geometry.
  • Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.
  • Keep track of children's progress and occasionally report back to parents.
About the School

Our school is a 2-form entry school located in a lovely residential area of Oxford. We have a friendly environment that welcomes early career teachers (ECTs) with open arms. As well as academic excellence, we aspire to develop well-rounded, confident pupils through our supportive pastoral environment.

Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications (Experienced teachers as well as ECTs are welcome to apply).
  • Ability to commute to Oxford via public transport.
  • Experience teaching Upper Key Stage 2.
  • Confidence to hit the ground running, proactively lead a class, and manage behaviour in line with school behaviour policies.
