Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Structural Engineer to join our team at RGB Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will assist in the design and development of structural projects, working closely with clients, project team members, and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of structural designs for various building types, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures.
  • Liaise with clients to understand project requirements and provide technical guidance on structural design.
  • Collaborate with project team members to coordinate project activities, ensuring timely completion and quality delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, project stakeholders, and local authorities.
  • Participate in site visits and design team meetings to ensure effective communication and project progress.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years' relevant post-graduate experience in structural engineering.
  • Strong design experience in common building materials, including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
  • BIM experience is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Good commercial awareness and ability to deal with clients with minimal supervision.
  • Accredited degree (or equivalent) recognized by the IStructE.
  • Valid full UK driving license.
