About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Urgent Care Oncology team at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert clinical advice, emotional support, and managing your own caseload of cancer patients and their pathway of care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cancer care, oncology, and upper GI cancers, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for championing and delivering NHS England Cancer Personalised Care standards, ensuring issues associated with patients' experiences are visible to the MDT and prioritized for service improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Initiating and interpreting tests and investigations used in cancer treatments, ongoing monitoring, and late effects care.
  • Developing practice to deliver nurse-led clinics supporting cancer patients' care and needs.
