We are currently recruiting for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team in the GI Oncology Unit at The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive specialist nursing service to patients with gastrointestinal cancers.

A salary of approximately £63,000 per annum is available, commensurate with experience and qualifications. You will work closely with the existing Clinical Nurse Specialists to formulate and revise policies and procedures, ensuring high-quality care for patients throughout their journey.

About the Role

You will be responsible for developing assessment tools to identify patients with complex needs and refer them to appropriate specialists. You will also maintain nurse-led and telephone clinics to provide information and support to patients and their carers.

Key Responsibilities

  • To sustain a high-quality specialist service for patients with gastrointestinal cancers
  • To provide advanced nursing care to patients in conjunction with the Clinical Nurse Specialists
  • To maintain nurse-led and telephone clinics to provide information and support to patients and their carers

Essential Qualifications

  • First Level Registration
  • Post-Registration Qualification relevant to speciality

Desirable Qualifications

  • Oncology qualification
  • Teaching qualification
  • Experience in research
