We are seeking a highly skilled Production Operations Planner to join our team at MacTaggart Scott. As a key member of our Production Function, you will work closely with other Planners and Shop Floor Supervisors to ensure Customer delivery dates are met.
Key Responsibilities- Production Planning: Responsible for producing valid operating plans for the shop floor on a weekly basis by balancing available capacity with loads predicted by IFS & Rough Cut.
- Communication: Communicate the weekly work centre load to the shop floor supervisors & team leaders in the form of detailed work centre schedules.
- Resource Optimization: Provide guidance to shop floor supervisors and team leaders in how best to organize resources to achieve the plan.
- Schedule Management: Ensuring that each scheduled operation meets the required due date according to the higher-level schedules demanded by project activities and customer orders.
- Expedition and Material Management: Determine the status of assigned project activities, expedite operations and materials that delay schedule and alter the schedules to meet unforeseen activities.
- Invoice Milestone Achievement: Focus on achieving Invoice Milestones.
- Kitting and Preparation: Take action to ensure that all scheduled work is prepared for release to production complete and on time – expedite all material shortages in advance.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent Communication Skills in order to convey Plans etc.
- Teamwork and Autonomy: Ability to work on your own and as part as a team.
- Methodical and Organized Work Ethic: Methodical and organized work ethic and be able to plan ahead and prioritise work.

- Education and Experience: Good standard of secondary level education and Completed an Engineering Apprenticeship or have experience working in a Production or Planning environment.
