Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Temporary Works Designer to provide technical support to our Temporary Works department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and check small to medium complexity temporary works items.
- Manage the design process where work is outsourced.
- Identify, develop, and plan for temporary works in accordance with the Permanent Works programme.
- Ensure that temporary works are not altered until the loading stage has been completed.
- Cooperate with contractors in all matters relating to health and safety.
- Act as a role model for the contractor's vision and values.
- Consider hazardous activities and ensure an appropriate safe system is defined by risk assessment.
- Report damage to plant and equipment to the immediate line manager.
Requirements:
- Hold a Degree/HND in civil/structural engineering.
- Experience in NCE3 form of contract and Project Technical Request.
- Understanding of managing costs, budgets, and economic planning.
- Understanding of programmes and assisting the project run on schedule.
- Experience on site, monitoring, dealing with subcontractors, and finding solutions to problems.
- Knowledge of quality management.
