**Job Title:** Academic Quality Coordinator
**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Quality Coordinator to join our team at Proactive Global. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing our quality, health & safety, and environmental systems, ensuring compliance and monitoring performance across the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintenance and Management of Quality Systems: Responsible for the maintenance and management of the company's quality, health & safety, and environmental systems.
- Review and Implementation of Procedures: Review existing procedures to ensure they reflect current company practice and meet ISO standards, safety, legal, and other related standards. Implement authorized changes and improvements as necessary.
- Monitoring and Auditing: Continually monitor and audit staff observation of rules, compliance with procedures, and quality-related output. Implement authorized colleague training and development as necessary.
- Internal Audits: Maintain a schedule of internal audits and undertake these in line with the respective standards.
- Quality Investigations: Carry out quality investigations when required.
- Supplier Audits: Undertake supplier audits and collaborate with suppliers to ensure the flow-down of company and customer quality requirements and that these are continually achieved.
- Quality Control Activity: Monitor and analyze quality control activity, collate performance data, and prepare reports.
- Maintenance and Repair of Equipment: Manage the inspection, maintenance, and repair of machinery, tools, ladders, and lifting equipment, ensuring PUWR compliance.
- COSH Compliance: Ensure COSH compliance, that all chemicals are properly labelled and accurately recorded.
- Fire Safety: Undertake fire drills and tests and the management and maintenance of all fire-related equipment.
- Health and Safety Inductions: Carry out health and safety and quality inductions for new starters when required and authorized refresher training for colleagues as necessary.
- Environmental Impact: Monitor company waste and environmental impact and implement strategies to minimize.
- Compliance and Legislation: Maintain and enhance own knowledge and track updates and changes to ensure company compliance with all aspects of applicable quality, health and safety, and environmental legislation and standards, implementing authorized improvements as necessary.
- Support to Commercial and Project Delivery Teams: Support commercial and project delivery teams by writing high-quality documents in response to requests for information arising from tenders and contracts to demonstrate compliance, producing contract/tender-specific quality, health and safety, and environmental management plans as necessary.
- Advisory Role: Potentially support commercial and engineering teams by advising on product safety management, including identification of legislative and regulatory requirements, safety reviews (as non-technical lead), maintenance of hazard logs, and safety cases.
- Continual Improvement: Promote a continual improvement mindset and help to improve standards and working practices throughout the business by promoting a culture of quality and continual improvement, identifying weaknesses in existing systems and processes, and proposing improved solutions.
- Risk Assessments and Method Statements: Prepare and maintain risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
- Lean Manufacturing: Assist with the expansion of Lean Manufacturing throughout the factory, particularly 5S.
- Representation and Reporting: Represent the business and attend meetings with customers as required, advise the Board, and provide reports as necessary.
