About the Role

We are seeking an experienced clinical pharmacist to lead the Clinical Pharmacy Operations for Oncology and Haematology at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality specialist clinical services across four hospital sites, demonstrating strong leadership and management of staff and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide professional leadership for the cancer service delivery of all pharmacists working within cancer services and provide expert advice on pharmaceutical matters.
  • Lead on the strategic development of Cancer Services, within the Trust in collaboration with users of the service and key stakeholders.
  • Develop, communicate and implement a strategy for Cancer services at a local level by working with providers, users and stakeholders and identify how the clinical pharmacy services for cancer services can support the delivery of high-quality care.
  • Manage team members and take on roles related to education and training.

Person Specification
  • Masters of Pharmacy Degree (MPharm), BPharm or BSc (Pharmacy)
  • Postgraduate Masters/Doctorate in clinical oncology or equivalent specialist experience
  • Postgraduate Masters in management or equivalent experience
  • Member of The General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Independent Prescriber
