About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Deputy Director to join our team at QinetiQ. As a key member of our commercial and contracts management team, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of our business winning and contractual management of contracts within our portfolio.

As a Deputy Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to commercial and contractual support, including customer bidding and contracting, advising on export and import control, risk management, change control, contract and document drafting, and issue resolution. You will also demonstrate general commercial acumen on tenders and contracts, which are typically non-standard, of medium to high complexity, or supporting senior commercial staff on major projects or new business campaigns.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide commercial and contractual support to the team, including customer bidding and contracting, advising on export and import control, risk management, change control, contract and document drafting, and issue resolution.
  2. Demonstrate general commercial acumen on tenders and contracts, which are typically non-standard, of medium to high complexity, or supporting senior commercial staff on major projects or new business campaigns.
  3. Be a member of a dynamic commercial and contracts management team, reporting to an experienced Commercial lead, where your hard work and professional experience will be expected to generate innovative commercial solutions.
  4. Support contract management activities as part of your role, which may include engagement with any phase of the contract lifecycle. You will manage relevant post-contract processes, ensuring continued customer satisfaction.
