Reed is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining high standards, implementing quality management systems, and managing staff and resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure the provision of suitable equipment, vehicles, and training for staff to perform their duties effectively.
- Set and enforce performance standards for staff.
- Participate in Management reviews and Internal audits of the Quality Management System.
- Review annual staff self-appraisals for Shift Supervisors and Port Operators, as well as Secretary/Administrators.
- Monitor attendance and address any issues during shifts.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of the company's vehicles and plant equipment.
- Ensure all work adheres to safe working practices as defined by PHS management.
- Commit to adhering to and improving the quality and H&S management systems.
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably within a port or similar industrial environment.
- Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, specifically ISO9001 and ISO45001.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Ability to conduct and participate in management reviews and internal audits.
- Competence in overseeing staff appraisals and performance reviews.
