Job Title: Training and Engagement Officer

Race Equality First is an independent charity and race equality council based in Cardiff, Wales, offering free, confidential advice and support to victims of hate crime, discrimination, and harassment.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Training and Engagement Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering training and awareness-raising sessions to communities and organizations across Wales.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Deliver training, workshops, and presentations on cultural diversity, hate crime, discrimination, and other topics across the UK.
  2. Identify training needs, develop programs, and deliver sessions via in-person workshops, webinars, and other mediums.
  3. Design and manage online training and assessments on our training portal.
  4. Organize community engagement sessions, manage attendance, and gather data for reporting.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in delivering community activities, training, and awareness-raising sessions.

About the Role:

The Training and Engagement Officer will work closely with our Training Manager to deliver training and awareness-raising sessions to communities and organizations across Wales. The successful candidate will have a commitment to equality, a talent for delivering impactful training sessions, and the ability to engage diverse communities.

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time hybrid role based in Cardiff, with flexibility for some remote work. The position involves tasks such as conducting training sessions, developing training materials, communicating with stakeholders, and executing employee training programs.

Benefits:

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of £30,000 per year, plus 3% pension, and 28 days' annual leave, plus bank holidays.
