Job Title: Training and Engagement Officer

At Race Equality First, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Training and Engagement Officer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering training and awareness-raising sessions to communities and organizations across Wales.

About the Role

The Training and Engagement Officer will be responsible for providing training, talks, presentations, and workshops on cultural diversity, hate crime, and discrimination to organizations, schools, and audiences across the UK. You will also determine training needs and requirements for organizations requesting training from us and deliver training programs that include web-based seminars, printed manuals, in-person group sessions, training videos, and more.

Main Duties
  1. Provide training, talks, presentations, and workshops on cultural diversity, hate crime, and discrimination to organizations, schools, and audiences across the UK.
  2. Determine training needs and requirements for organizations requesting training from us and deliver training programs that meet their needs.
  3. Design and produce our online training provision and assessments on our training portal.
  4. Promote and deliver in-person awareness-raising information about gambling harm to Black and Ethnic Minority (BME) people across Cardiff, Newport, and Swansea.
  5. Provide seamless referrals of BME people to the National Gambling Support Network provided by Ara.
  6. Schedule community group engagement sessions, organize presentations, and manage attendance and enrolment for all sessions.
  7. Monitor and evaluate all activities delivered by the project in Wales and complete a quarterly monitoring report.
  8. Produce and widely circulate marketing materials targeted at the communities to overcome language barriers and cultural sensitivities.
  9. Design a campaign addressing all forms of gambling, its impact on family, friends, and the wider community, and how to access the free service.
  10. Work with Ara's Gambling Services Project Manager to design and develop services to accommodate the needs that may come out of the awareness stage.
Requirements
