Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Therapist to join our team, working with child and adult victims of sexual abuse. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in counselling or psychotherapy, with a minimum of a recognised qualification to Diploma Level 4.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one therapy sessions for children up to the age of 18 and adults over 18 who have experienced sexual violence.
- Support the provision of therapeutic assessments to clients across Derbyshire.
- Work within a multi-agency setting, providing an empathetic and pro-active therapy service to victims of sexual abuse and their families.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy to at least Diploma Level 4.
- Extensive knowledge and awareness of rape, sexual abuse, and rape trauma syndrome.
- Registration with BACP or a similar professional body.
- 300 hours post-qualifying counselling practice.
- A minimum of two years' experience working specifically with child or adult victim groups.
