Job Description: Qualified Adoption Specialist

We are looking for a Qualified Social Worker to work within our Children and Families Adoption Team in Wrexham. This is an exciting opportunity to provide specialist support to adopted families, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children who require adoptive placements.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Recruiting and assessing potential adopters, and placing children with suitable adoptive families.
  • Presenting reports at Adoption Panels, and working closely with statutory and voluntary organisations.
  • Providing high-quality adoption social work, in line with relevant legislation and guidance.


To be considered for this role, you will need:
  • A DipSW or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the HCPC.
  • A current CRB check.
  • A valid driving licence.


This is a temporary contract for 3 months, working 37 hours per week (with flexibility negotiable). The salary is negotiable, depending on experience and pay scheme selected (£40,000 - £60,000).
