Assembly Operative Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Operative to join our team at Jackie Kerr Recruitment Ltd. As an Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for assembling products to customer specifications, conducting component test inspections, and allocating rack locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble products to customer specifications
  • Conduct component test inspections and pre-pack inspections
  • Allocate rack locations and record parts
  • Provide assistance to the stores area as needed
  • Book in materials, consumables, and move them to the appropriate location
  • Pick and pack for customer dispatches
  • Handle raw materials and complete stock checking
  • Dispose of waste materials
  • Kit jobs from correct locations for dispatch, packing customer parts, and dispatching on correct courier
Requirements:
  • Previous experience within an engineering environment
  • IT literacy and ability to use internal stock databases
  • Full UK driving license (occasional delivery to customers using company transport)
  • Counterbalance forklift license (advantageous)
  • Knowledge or experience within the engineering sector (advantageous)
