Skilled Carpenter/Multihand Craftsman

We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Multihand Craftsman to assist with the appointment of a Carpenter/Multitrade on a 3-month contract, with a potential extension at the client's discretion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To perform Carpentry works and relevant trade duties as instructed by the Supervisor, encompassing Responsive, Planned, Empty Homes, High Value Repairs, or Capital Repairs, to an excellent standard.
  • To plan and organize workload to maximize productive time and ensure the best service to customers, including dealing with urgent and emergency repairs, and meeting appointments and targets as far as practicable.
  • To promptly inform a scheduler planner/supervisor of any unanticipated problems or delays that might impact on appointments for that day, allowing work to be rescheduled.
  • To provide regular updates and information to supervisors/scheduler planner team and other colleagues to facilitate the ordering of materials, planning, and scheduling of work.
  • To report any follow-on or related repair works identified with the customer, where these cannot be completed during the visit, providing sufficient detail for an accurate further works order to be raised on the system.

Requirements:

  • A recognized C&G Apprentice trained in Carpentry NVQ level 3 or equivalent, with a willingness to undergo Multi-skills training.
  • Experience of delivering high-quality Carpentry in domestic properties, utilizing a range of portable power tools and equipment.

  • Availability to work immediately or at short notice.
  • Right to work in the U.K.
  • Enhanced DBS required.
