About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Estimating Professional to join our team at Dental CIC. As an Apprentice Project Estimator, you will play a key role in supporting our Pre-Construction Estimating team in delivering high-quality estimates to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of detailed estimates for construction projects, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Estimating team to review and comment on tender documentation, highlighting key project risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, designers, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of tender documentation to identify areas for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Provide input on quality and technical issues to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in estimating software and tools, including Conquest.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and excellence in estimating.
  • Participate in post-tender contract reviews to provide advice on tender allowances and assumptions.
  • Contribute to the development of estimating procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and excellence across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or HND level qualification in a related field, such as construction management or quantity surveying.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, designers, and contractors.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools, including Conquest.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet changing project requirements.
