About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housekeeper to join our team at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust.

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our service users, staff, and visitors.

You will work in accordance with the agreed NHS specification and ensure that all areas, including communal spaces, sanitary areas, clinic rooms, kitchens, offices, and corridors, are cleaned to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Replenishing stocks of disposable items and paper hand towels
  • Operating a range of cleaning equipment, including floor cleaning equipment and steam cleaners
  • Assessing the condition of equipment and reporting defects
  • Collection and storage of waste in accordance with the Hospital waste disposal policy

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience or relevant qualifications in cleaning services
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A personable, motivating, and friendly approach
  • A strong team player with a flexible approach
