About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Clinical Informatics Director to join our team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.

As a key member of our informatics leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of clinical informatics strategies, ensuring that we remain at the forefront of healthcare innovation.

You will work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver effective solutions, leveraging technology to enhance patient care and streamline clinical processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement clinical informatics strategies, aligning with organisational objectives.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of clinical solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address clinical informatics gaps and opportunities.
  • Lead the implementation of clinical informatics projects, ensuring timely delivery and effective outcomes.
  • Mentor and coach colleagues to develop their clinical informatics skills and expertise.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse, Midwife or AHP with relevant professional qualification and current NMC/HCPC registration.
  • Relevant Master's Degree (or evidence of working at Master's level).
  • Significant experience at a band 7 senior clinical role.
  • Experience of successfully managing the implementation of change.
  • Evidence of experience implementing information system(s) in acute hospital environments.
