Removals Branch Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Removals Branch Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our branch in Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring branch performance, ensuring accurate reporting of figures and monthly profit and loss, as well as overseeing the smooth and efficient execution of removals projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Market Analysis and Business Development: Maintain competitive awareness and conduct market analysis to identify opportunities for business growth and generate leads.
  • Financial Management: Responsible for Branch Profit and Loss, including gross profit, cost control, and net profit.
  • Proposal Writing and Supplier Management: Write proposals, tenders, and supplier agreements to drive business growth and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Business Planning and Reporting: Develop effective business and corresponding action plans, and write client reports and other ad-hoc reports to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Negotiation and Communication: Negotiate business deals, including rates and fees, and maintain excellent communication with clients and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Current or past experience within Branch Management, preferably in the removals industry or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of removals procedures, logistics, and best practices, excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing teams and achieving operational targets.
