Wayman Learning Trust is seeking a dedicated Senior Science Teacher to join their team in Barking and Dagenham.

The successful candidate will teach science subjects to students with special educational needs, delivering lessons tailored to their individual requirements.

This rewarding opportunity involves working closely with the SENCo to design and implement IEPs, monitoring and assessing student progress, and using innovative strategies to support engagement and understanding of Science concepts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teaching Science across key stages to students with complex learning difficulties.
  • Developing engaging and accessible lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborating with the SENCo to create and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress academically and personally.
  • Utilizing effective strategies to promote student engagement and understanding of Science concepts.
Requirements:
  • QTS with a specialism in Science
  • Experience teaching students with SEN, including SEMH, ASD, and MLD
  • Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
  • Clear DBS check

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum.
