About the Role

Athona Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our Adult Acute Services team in Manchester. This exciting opportunity provides a chance to work in a dynamic environment, delivering high-quality care and therapeutic support to patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Nursing Care Delivery: Provide nursing care and act as a named nurse for a defined group of patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Patient Assessment and Planning: Assess, plan, and deliver care in partnership with patients and their families, promoting patient-centered care and involvement.
  • Care Coordination: Engage with service users to assess needs, monitor progress, and adapt care plans, ensuring continuity of care.
  • Treatment Approaches: Promote and adhere to the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) model in patient care, supporting individuals with complex needs.
  • Clinical Governance: Participate in quality improvement processes and clinical governance activities, contributing to the development of best practices.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Active NMC registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PIN, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Skills and Experience: Knowledge of NMC standards, guidelines, and professional practices, combined with a positive attitude toward service improvement and commitment to quality care.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and IT literacy, enabling effective collaboration within the team.
