We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Theatre Practitioner to join our team at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of the theatre team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the transformation of our services.

About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for assessing care needs, developing and implementing programmes of care, and maintaining personal contact with patients, other healthcare disciplines, relatives, and visitors.
As a band 5 theatre practitioner, you will have the opportunity to progress your professional development skills-based and educationally through our embedded band 5 development pathway.
Key Responsibilities- Assessing care needs and developing programmes of care
- Maintaining personal contact with patients and other healthcare professionals
- Committing to provide training and share knowledge with the team
- Undertaking enhanced roles following necessary training, e.g., IV drug administration, ECG recording, and Advanced Scrub Practitioner (ASP) Role
We require a Registered Nurse (NMC) or Registered Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC) with previous NHS experience within the last 12 months, a broad clinical knowledge base, and recent or current post-registration experience in an acute trust.
