Workshop Engineer Job Description

At Ross Care, we are seeking a highly skilled and organized Workshop Engineer to join our team in Ashford. As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for providing a workshop-based engineering role, repairing, servicing, and maintaining wheelchairs to the highest standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct repairs, servicing, and maintenance as directed by the Service Centre Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, or Line Manager.
  2. Process all associated paperwork concerning repairs and servicing accurately on a daily basis.
  3. Ensure all warranty and scrap returns are labelled correctly and collated at the end of each day.
  4. Adhere to Ross Care's operational procedures and maintain a professional approach in all aspects of the role.
  5. Undertake engineering work in terms of service and repairs, and refurbishment in accordance with prescription builds.
  6. Assist in clinical appointments with healthcare professionals for any repairs and servicing requirements.
  7. Perform duties according to all Company policies, procedures, and instructions.
Key Performance Indicators:

As a Workshop Engineer, you will be expected to achieve business results and add value to the Company. You will also be required to focus on internal and external customers, build and maintain effective teamwork with colleagues, and embrace change and deal with ambiguity.

Requirements:
  1. Organized and able to work to a plan.
  2. Must be able to fault find.
  3. Neat and tidy writing.
