Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist to join our team as an Anaesthetic Care Professional. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients in need.

About the Role

This role involves working closely with our medical team to provide comprehensive anaesthetic services at Scarborough Hospital. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Pre-operative assessment, management, and pre-medication of patients scheduled for surgery
  • Administration of local and general anaesthetics
  • Post-operative assessment and management of post-operative problems in conjunction with surgical colleagues

In addition to these duties, you will also contribute to the Intensive Care Unit and Critical Care Outreach teams, working effectively with your colleagues to ensure seamless patient care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in anaesthesia and intensive care medicine, with a minimum of 24 months' experience in an Anaesthetics department. A valid ALS certification and evidence of continuous professional development are also essential.

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including excellent training opportunities and a supportive working environment.
