Primary SEN Teaching Support Professional
About the RoleWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Support Professional to work in various local primary schools across. As a Primary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide essential support to students with a range of additional needs, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive in a mainstream school environment.
Responsibilities- Support Children with SEN: Provide one-to-one support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and learning disabilities in classroom and small group settings.
- Collaborate with Teachers: Work closely with classroom teachers to implement education plans and adapt learning materials to meet each child's unique needs.
- Assist with Daily Tasks: Assist with personal care, mobility, and other daily tasks as required by the students.
- Foster a Positive Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to achieve their potential.
- Monitor Student Progress: Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and SEN coordinators.
- Promote Social Development: Promote social and emotional development, helping students build confidence and positive relationships with their peers.
- Experience: Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, particularly within an SEN setting, is essential.
- Qualification: A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent, is preferred.
- Understanding SEN: Understanding of SEN best practices and strategies for supporting children with additional needs.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, and a caring attitude.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexibly and adapt to different school environments.
