Job Title: Outreach Tutor

We are seeking an experienced Outreach Tutor to join our team at Ackerman Pierce Ltd. As an Outreach Tutor, you will work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one-to-one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. These children have a range of additional complex needs, and we are looking for individuals with experience in SEN, HLTA, tutoring, or teaching.

The role involves providing face-to-face provision to students who need access to Alternative Provision, which could be due to SEN or SEMH. You will be required to start ASAP and work 2 hours per day, 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. The rate of pay is £27-£35 per hour, depending on experience.

We are looking for candidates who are available during school hours, experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects, and have experience teaching young people with complex and challenging needs. You should also have exceptional behaviour management strategies and be prepared to work face-to-face within the community.

Requirements:

* Background teaching in English, Maths, Science, or SEN classes ranging from KS1-KS5.
* QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects.
* Experience working with ASD, EBD, SEMH, and associated complex needs.
* 2 years previous experience working within a UK school.
