Exciting Opportunity for an Experienced Accounting and Payroll Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized individual to join our team as an Accounting and Payroll Assistant. As a key member of our administration team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our Managing Director and ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll for a small team using Sage 50, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage administration and HR duties, including recruitment and data protection.
  • Process invoices, purchase orders, and cross-check order sheets and delivery notes.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and provide excellent customer service.
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, and arrange quotes and site visits.
  • Follow up on payments for subcontractors and materials, and order consumables as needed.
  • Filing and sending quotes/letters to customers under the MD's instructions.
  • Check insurance details, vehicle checks, and general financial documentation.
Requirements:
  • Qualified or experienced in Sage Accounting systems.
  • Able to work independently and support all aspects of business administration.
  • This is an onsite-based role, ensuring the telephone is answered.
Working Hours and Salary:

Part-time role, 24 hours per week, with flexible hours between Monday and Friday, 9am-4pm. Salary: £24,000 per annum.
