Demand Planning Manager, NEDM

At General Mills, we are seeking a skilled Demand Planning Manager to join our team in Northern Europe. As a key member of our Supply Chain organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing demand and distributor replenishment plans to ensure we meet our sales and service objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop accurate SKU-level demand plans to support the rolling 4-month production and procurement plan for factories, and 24-month rolling forecast for crop-related SKUs.
- Ensure accurate planning, SKU mix, and aggregate volume to support proper financial planning, including scenarios, budgets, and long-range planning.
- Collaborate with key distributors to harmonize processes and ensure availability, minimizing lost and distress sales.
- Champion and lead Customer Collaboration with distributors by:
- Being a business partner and providing deep-dive analysis into supply chain performance losses.
- Monitoring and reporting stock health to the business and driving corrective actions.
- Order proposals/reconciliations and reviews to ensure business plans are delivered.
- Supporting distributors in ensuring the right stocks are available at the right time and place.
- Engaging with top retailers to identify service improvement opportunities.
Work closely with Supply Planning to evaluate material and production constraints, storage, write-offs implications, and supply issues to provide contingency plans for best resource utilization and optimization.
Support GIC analysts in assembling and analyzing all data related to sales forecasts, including historical sales, market trends, seasonality, and promotions, to drive Demand Reviews.
Lead Demand Reviews, challenge sales forecast assumptions based on statistical forecast, communicate supply issues, share analysis, and share ability to run activities as per suggested timing according to distributors' stock, reporting any abnormalities noticed in distributors' stock and sales report, supply delays affecting stock levels.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Retail or distributor-facing experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and PC literacy.
- Knowledge and experience working with advanced planning and replenishment systems (JDA/o9/OMP/Kinaxis).
- At least 6 years of experience in a similar field, preferably in the food industry or a multinational company.
- Knowledge of supply chain concepts and application.
- Experience working with German or Swiss distributors or retailers is a plus.
