Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager

About the Role

As a Reliability Maintenance Engineering Area Manager at ENGINEERINGUK, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities across Europe. You will lead a team of engineers to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to our operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead a team of engineers to implement EU network standards and plan preventative maintenance
  2. Collaborate with colleagues to collect and analyse data to improve processes
  3. Deliver and support site-based and network-level projects
  4. Support colleagues in site compliance with safety policies and procedures
  5. Lead, support, and mentor your team to develop their career

A Day in the Life
You will be based at one of our operational sites, working closely with your team to ensure the technical availability of our equipment. This involves collecting data, solving problems, and setting up new projects to improve operational processes and equipment maintenance. You will also be responsible for leading your team, managing their performance, and organizing additional training.

About the Team
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering team is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment across our global network of fulfilment centres. We work together to ensure the technical side of our operations runs smoothly, often working during early or late hours to carry out maintenance with minimal disruption.

Requirements

  1. A UK Higher National Diploma (HND), Higher National Certificate (HNC), BTEC National Diploma (OND), IEng, CEng or ILM L4+
  2. Relevant experience as part of a maintenance team in an industrial or production environment
  3. Relevant experience in managing people in an engineering team
  4. Relevant experience in liaising and managing relationships between stakeholders
  5. Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English
Preferred Qualifications
  1. A degree
  2. Experience of working with statutory regulations
  3. Experience in automated equipment, including packaging machinery
  4. Experience of using data analysis tools and PLC-based control systems
  5. Experience with project management or Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma processes
