About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Packing Department in Milton Keynes. As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our packaging lines, supervising labour, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of packers to ensure efficient production and high-quality packaging.
  • Monitor and record production data, including packaging figures and quality control metrics.
  • Coordinate with production lines to ensure adequate staffing and efficient production flow.
  • Induct new employees, provide training, and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
  • Record and report sickness and absence, and notify the HR Department as necessary.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to high housekeeping standards.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the operation of the packaging department.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a team leader or supervisor in a production environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Recent experience in a packaging environment or fast-paced production setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to demonstrate safe working practices and adhere to strict H&S requirements and regulations.
