About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team, working with adults and children with complex care needs. The successful candidate will assess service users, recommend equipment and adaptations, and promote independence.

The role involves manual handling assessments, risk reduction, and collaboration with internal and external services to provide a holistic approach to assessment and care plans.

As a member of our experienced and motivated team, you will support CPD and service development, receive individual supervision, and participate in multi-agency discussions.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate the Haringey values of being Caring, Collaborative, Community Focused, Courageous, and Creative.

About You

You will be a qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the Health Care Professions Council, and have a strong understanding of relevant legislation, including the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005.

  • Excellent assessment skills for managing a caseload of adults and children with varied complexity
  • Ability to establish and maintain links with professionals from other services and sectors
  • Commitment to continued learning and professional development
  • Willingness to contribute to team development and support the smooth running of the team
  • Familiarity with assistance and running of a duty Occupational therapy system
  • Ability to complete robust assessments and support plans
  • Clear and concise written communication skills
