About the RoleWe're seeking a talented Category Development Executive to join our close-knit Category Team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for building category growth in partnership with our focus customers, driving category leadership, and equipping our Sales and Trade & Brand Marketing colleagues with category-led analysis and recommendations.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our convenience customers, converting data into actionable insights and compelling category stories.
- Track and review reports to explain the performance of the category and Accolade in convenience, developing and maintaining these reports for customers and sales teams.
- Identify sales opportunities and risks for Accolade in the convenience channel, bringing an independent and objective voice to influence commercial sales teams.
- Support the Senior Category Manager in meeting the needs of a wider set of internal and external customers, working closely as a team.
- Mastery of market data analysis and shopper insight tools, including Nielsen, IGD, and Consumer Segmentation.
- Bring an independent and objective perspective to all work, removing non-value-added activity and consistently delivering on commitments.
- Contribute to annual brand planning with the voice of the category, working with the Brand, Insight, and Sales teams to convert insight into compelling category-led selling stories.
- Degree-level education and 1-2 years' experience in an FMCG environment, either in shopper insight, consumer insight, or market data agencies, or in roles that interact with category management teams.
- Preferred experience in using Nielsen or Circana data, loyalty card-based software, and Kantar data systems.
