Job Title: Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

Job Description:

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to work in a Pupil Referral Service in Aberdare, RCT. The ideal candidate will have experience working with learners with SEMH, SEBD, EBD, and challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and supervise learners with SEMH, SEBD, EBD, or challenging behaviour
  • Assist learners at the start and end of the school day
  • Assist staff members in preparing the classroom for lessons
  • Work with learners in small groups or one-to-one with children with additional needs
  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons
  • Assist learners at break time with their lunch
  • Engage learners in classroom and out-of-classroom activities
  • Work in accordance with the school's behaviour management policies

Requirements:

  • At least 3 months' experience working with children in schools, nurseries, or childcare settings
  • Registration with the EWC (the Education Workforce Council)
  • References covering the last two years
  • Hold a current Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
  • The right to work in the UK
