Job Title: National Sales Manager - Packaging Solutions

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced National Sales Manager to join our team at Harrison Scott Associates. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for marketing a range of environmentally friendly packaging solutions to retailers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Research new clients, products, markets, and exhibitions/events on a national basis.
  2. Prospect and cold call using your own initiative, industry knowledge, and best practices.
  3. Persuade new prospects and lapsed customers to place physical orders and/or accept a meeting to establish packaging needs.
  4. Maximise profitable opportunities by understanding client operation savings vs price paying.
  5. Increase company participation in tendered packaging opportunities.
  6. Attend exhibitions and relevant training courses to develop knowledge, techniques, and skills.

Personal Specification:

  • Positive mindset with care of their work, clients, and colleagues.
  • Proven track record of senior-level sales is essential, ideally in selling packaging to retailers.
  • Highly motivated and able to work effectively under own initiative.
  • Confident in liaising with company Owners/Directors and prestigious blue chip companies.
  • Ability to challenge/persuade prospect if hurdles need overcoming.
  • Maximises 'cold call effectiveness' adapting prospecting method (e.g. LinkedIn/teams).
  • Quick thinker.
  • Team Player.
  • Very strong interpersonal skills.
  • Confident and able to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Pro-active work ethic.
  • Organised and efficient.
  • Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office and LinkedIn. (CRM training will be given).
