About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled pharmacist to lead our medicines optimisation efforts in Sutton Health and Care (SHC). As a strategic pharmacist, you will provide expert advice and support to ensure the delivery of effective pharmacy services across all SHC services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement medicines optimisation strategies to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs
  • Provide professional leadership and guidance to pharmacy teams to ensure compliance with national and local guidelines
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement clinical governance policies
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans for medicines optimisation in SHC
  • Support the development of new initiatives such as electronic prescribing

Requirements

  • Degree in Pharmacy and membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Extensive post-registration experience in hospital/community services/primary care at least at Band 8a level with supervisory/managerial experience
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to influence and motivate others
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
