Job Title: Payroll Officer

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our dynamic HR Operations and Finance department in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely pay to employees and non-executive directors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately administer the monthly payroll cycle
  • Ensure payroll practices comply with UK legislation
  • Maintain and update payroll records in line with data protection regulations
  • Submit required information to HMRC
  • Respond to employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies
  • Ensure the payroll system is up to date with any regulatory changes
  • Manage pension contributions in accordance with the Auto Enrolment scheme
  • Communicate with external bodies such as HMRC, pension providers, and auditors
  • Assist in monthly and annual payroll reconciliations
  • Assist with internal and external payroll audits

Requirements:

  • Payroll qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) or equivalent
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in payroll processing
  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., SdWorx, ADP, SAP)
  • In-depth understanding of UK payroll legislation
  • Ability to handle large volumes of data accurately
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proactive problem-solving abilities
  • Well-organised with the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple tasks
  • Maintains the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive payroll data

About the Role:

This is a full-time position based in the City of London, offering a negotiable salary range of £60,000 - £67,000 per annum.
