Nursery Caregiver

Reed Education is currently supporting several day nurseries and school nursery departments in the area with their recruitment. These nurseries are looking for bank staff who will be available to cover staff absences on short notice. Opportunities are available to work in various age groups within the nursery.

Roles will have varied hours and flexibility is a requirement. Day nurseries generally operate from 7:30am to 6:15pm, offering options for half days. The roles are suitable for nursery nurses, teaching assistants, and early years practitioners. It is essential to have experience working with children and hold a clear, enhanced DBS (or be willing to apply for one through Reed).

Key responsibilities:

• Supervising children during play, naps, and mealtimes
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety
• Building positive relationships with children, staff, parents, and outside agencies
• Effective communication
• Following safeguarding procedures correctly

Requirements:

• Experience working with children (essential)
• TA qualification (desirable)
• DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one)
