Nursery Caregiver

Reed Education is currently supporting several day nurseries and school nursery departments in the area with their recruitment needs. These nurseries are seeking bank staff who can provide last-minute or short-notice cover for staff absences. Opportunities are available to work in various age groups, including babies, toddlers, and pre-school rooms within the nursery.

Roles will have varied hours and flexibility is a requirement. Day nurseries typically operate from 7:30am to 6:15pm, offering options for half-day shifts. The roles are suitable for nursery nurses, teaching assistants, and early years practitioners with experience working with children. A clear, enhanced DBS is essential, or the willingness to apply for one through Reed.

• Supervise children during play, naps, and mealtimes
• Ensure high standards of health and safety are maintained
• Build positive relationships with children, staff, parents, and outside agencies
• Communicate effectively
• Follow safeguarding procedures correctly

• Experience working with children (essential)
• TA qualification (desirable)
• DBS registered on the update service (or willing to apply for a new one)
