This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner psychologist to join our Health Psychology Service in a permanent position within the Adult Weight Management Service at Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board.

As a dedicated professional, you will be passionate about supporting individuals living with obesity to manage their weight and improve their health. You will have the opportunity to work alongside and be supervised by a Principal Clinical Psychologist and other members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), including physiotherapists, dietitians, and medical staff.

You will need to be willing to travel as we work at numerous locations across the expansive and beautiful geographical area from the coast to the mountains. Our Health Psychology Service is growing rapidly, and this role offers the chance to contribute to the development of a supportive and dynamic team working in various specialties across the lifespan.

The post holder will provide a qualified specialist clinical psychology service to the Adult Weight Management Service covering the Rhondda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil, and Bridgend areas. The service is based in Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda Hospital, with interventions delivered across multiple sites across the health board patch and remotely.

You will also have the opportunity to develop your supervision skills by assisting the senior psychologist with the provision of psychological supervision to the assistant psychologist and wider MDT. Additionally, you will utilise research skills for audit, policy, service development, and research within the area served by the team/service.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £42,609 per annum, depending on experience. This is a competitive salary, reflecting the importance of this role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to our patients.
