Then our new Recovery From Illness Service for Children and Young People is the place for you. Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board have developed this new service and this is an opportunity to be involved from inception.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join a multidisciplinary Recovery From Illness service. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team at the beginning of this exciting new service. The MDT includes consultant sessions, a psychologist, a psychology assistant, an occupational therapist, a physiotherapist and support staff.

The team will are based at Carnegie Clinic and deliver services across the health board. There are options for flexible working.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled individual to join our newly established Recovery From Illness Service for Children and Young People.

Supporting the Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist in the delivery of the Paediatric Recovery from Illness Service.

To work as part of the Recovery From Illness Service to undertake specific clinical and administrative tasks, implement intervention programmes and support service users as guided and delegated by the Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist, responding flexibly to the needs of the service.

Support the Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy staff by assisting with all modalities of therapeutic care for patients.

To provide care to the patients, as delegated by the Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists to the extent of own competencies

To promote independence, health and well-being across home and community environments

Carry a delegated caseload of non-complex patients to deliver interventions prescribed by and under guidance of the Physiotherapist and/or Occupational Therapist.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
